Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to classical music and old boleros. Also, she listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos as well as opera and other dramatic kinds. Ana began to study singing and play music at an early age together with her mom. She was given more formal vocal instruction in the year she turned 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Music education was continued by the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards with the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was a member of many opera groups and chamber choirs. After relocating in California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in the southern part of California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo performing the traditional Latin American music at private events. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives, both as performer and teacher, due to her passion for art and music.
